Question by Rene: Muslims, I have pictures of my beloved dead dog & Bamiyan Buddhas, will angels enter my house?
Hello,

In the wall of my house, I have two beloved pictures, one is the picture of my dead dog, who died last year, its a portrait of my dog done by my brother, another is picture of the beautiful Bamiyan Buddhas, which the Taliban tore down in Afghanistan, its also a painted picture by a fasmous artist.

Islam says that angels won’t enter my house for these!!!

The Prophet said, “Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or there are pictures.”

Sahih Bukhari Volume 7, Book 72, Number 834:
Narrated Muslim:
We were with Masruq at the house of Yasar bin Numair. Masruq saw pictures on his terrace and said, “I heard ‘Abdullah saying that he heard the Prophet saying, “The people who will receive the severest punishment from Allah will be the picture makers.'”

Volume 7, Book 72, Number 835:
Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar :
Allah’s Apostle said, “Those who make these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them. ‘Make alive what you have created.'”

Volume 8, Book 73, Number 130:
Narrated ‘Aisha:
The Prophet entered upon me while there was a curtain having pictures (of animals) in the house. His face got red with anger, and then he got hold of the curtain and tore it into pieces. The Prophet said, “Such people as paint these pictures will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Resurrection .”

I also like to paint pictures, nowadays I like to paint Greek gods & goddesses, will angels enter my house?

Display more pictures of your dog.

Paint and draw many more pictures of animals and anything you choose.

Paint pictures of ‘The Prophet’ having sex with a nine year old child and hang that upside down next to your toilet if you like, whilst using pages of The Qur’an (or The Bible when you run out) as paper, wiped with your right hand.

What a bunch of tossers!
