Question by Marisa: Why do people argue that animal “criminals” are the same as human criminals?
By “animal criminal” I mean a domestic animal that has bitten or otherwise harmed a human, or even man-eating predators throughout the world. In my mind this is a stupid comparison. Animals act in the moment. They don’t choose to attack people. They defend themselves or they hurt if they have to. Humans choose to hurt other humans. A well off man might become a mass murderer just because he felt like it. So why do people argue that – for example – man-eating tigers are the same as human murderers?
