CommandoPDS – Security of Tomorrow

Laurel, MD (PRWEB) June 15, 2011

After 47 years of doing business in the Washington Metropolitan area, Commando Patrol and Detective Services is taking a giant step forward. CommandoPDS launches its new tech-savvy security services today and expands to office space conveniently located next door to its current location. The launch includes an open house at its newly renovated headquarters, which will include allowing guests to tour the facility and participate in focus group sessions, a revamped website and an updated image for its new branding campaign. “We have retired the K9 guard dogs and have added innovative technologies,” said the owner Ms. Lorette Farris.

The expanded headquarters will house its training facility and surveillance room which is designed to accommodate the company’s live remote video monitoring service. The monitoring room is equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance equipment that is monitored 24/7 by supervisory level security officers who are fully-trained technicians. “We are able to deter criminal activity on client sites often times before an infraction occurs and dispatch security or police for appropriate handling,” Ms. Farris explained. CommandoPDS assists clients in designing surveillance systems that integrate with new or existing access control systems to open and close doors or gates remotely, activate audible alarms, audio speakers, lights or sirens and send alerts, signals and messages designed to direct and control site activities.

Along with the new surveillance room, CommandoPDS has expanded its training capabilities with a new security officer training wing. In this facility CommandoPDS (1) security personnel undergo a mandatory 40-hour pre-employment training program and when required, client specific training provisions are combined with in-house training for total compliance; (2) assists licensed officers with continuing education and recertification requirements from 1st Aid CPR through handgun licensing training; and (3) provides career development training and sponsorship for security licensure and direct hire programs. CommandoPDS’ training-on-demand modules provide clients and candidates with the ability to control when and where their training is delivered with certification of completion. On demand training provides the opportunity for organizations to manage training on their time and schedule. In-person training is conducted either on-site or at our corporate location in Laurel, MD.

To round out the new service offerings, CommandoPDS now provides an innovative Vulnerability Mitigation Program (VMP) with Client Customized Training. Vulnerability assessments help evaluate susceptibility to potential threats and identify corrective actions that can reduce or mitigate the risk of serious consequences from adversarial actions (e.g., vandalism, personal attacks, terrorism, etc.). We strongly believe that houses of worship, hotels and hospitals would benefit from this type of service.

CommandoPDS is a woman-and-minority owned business enterprise (W/MBE) headquartered in Laurel Maryland; it is certified by the Minority Supplier Development Council, Prince George’s, Howard and Montgomery Counties, and the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority. All aspects of the firms’ offerings are guided by experienced professionals to include former military, law enforcement, security, administrators, and investment bankers.

CommandoPDS, along with its strategic partners provides comprehensive and customized safety and security services for its clients utilizing the most up-to-date technology to support its services, management and client needs. CommandoPDS is a Biblically based business. The company has taken steps to show by word and deed the meaning of conducting business in a revenue-productive manner while also supporting the tenets of the Bible.
